Post-Procedure Instructions

Protecting your results during the healing period

The first 10 days after your permanent cosmetics procedure are critical for proper healing and color retention. Follow these instructions carefully to protect your investment and achieve the best healed result.

Days 1–3

  • Gently blot any lymph fluid from the treated area with a clean cotton pad — do not rub
  • Apply the provided aftercare ointment in a very thin layer 2–3 times per day
  • Keep the area dry — avoid water, steam, and sweat on the treated area
  • Do not apply makeup, skincare, or sunscreen directly on the treated area

Days 4–10

  • The treated area will begin to flake and peel — this is normal, do not pick or peel the skin
  • Color will appear significantly lighter as the skin heals — this is expected
  • Continue applying aftercare ointment until flaking is complete
  • Avoid sun exposure, swimming, saunas, and heavy exercise throughout the healing period

Long-Term Care

  • Once fully healed, apply SPF 30+ sunscreen to the treated area daily to preserve pigment
  • Avoid Retin-A, retinol, and exfoliating acids on the treated area — they accelerate pigment fading
  • Schedule your touch-up appointment 4–6 weeks after the initial procedure
  • Annual color refreshes are recommended to maintain vibrancy and definition
