Microblading Eyebrows
Post-Procedure Instructions
Caring for your brows through the healing stages
Microblading creates fine hair-stroke incisions in the skin. Proper aftercare is essential to ensure the strokes heal cleanly and the pigment retains its definition. Follow these instructions for the first 10–14 days.
Immediate Aftercare (Days 1–3)
- Blot the brow area gently every 30–60 minutes on the day of the procedure to remove lymph fluid
- Apply a rice-grain-sized amount of aftercare ointment to each brow 2–3 times daily
- Do not wet the brows — avoid washing your face directly over the brow area
- Sleep on your back if possible to avoid rubbing the brows on your pillow
Peeling Phase (Days 4–10)
- The brows will begin to flake and peel — the color will appear to disappear during this phase
- Do not pick, scratch, or peel the skin — doing so will pull pigment and create gaps in the strokes
- The brows will look very light or patchy after peeling — this is normal and resolves at the touch-up
- Avoid brow makeup, tinting, or threading during the healing period
What to Avoid
- Sun exposure, tanning beds, and UV light on the brow area for 4 weeks
- Swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms for 2 weeks
- Retinol, glycolic acid, and chemical exfoliants near the brow area
- Facials, chemical peels, and laser treatments over the brow area
