Pre-Procedure Instructions
What you need to know before your appointment
Proper preparation before your micropigmentation appointment ensures the best possible results and reduces the risk of complications. Please read and follow all instructions below at least 72 hours before your scheduled procedure.
48–72 Hours Before
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for at least 48 hours prior
- Do not use Retin-A, retinol, or exfoliating acids on or near the treatment area for 72 hours
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 72 hours before your appointment
- Do not wax, thread, or tweeze the brow area for at least 72 hours prior
Day of Appointment
- Arrive with a clean face — no makeup, moisturizer, or sunscreen on the treatment area
- Eat a light meal before your appointment to maintain stable blood sugar
- Wear comfortable clothing — avoid anything that must be pulled over your face
- Do not consume alcohol the day of your procedure
Medical Considerations
- Inform Dr. Bazemore of any medications, supplements, or medical conditions at the time of booking
- If you have a history of cold sores (HSV-1), consult your physician about antiviral prophylaxis before lip procedures
- Clients who are pregnant or nursing are not candidates for micropigmentation procedures
- Clients currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation are not candidates — please consult your oncologist
